Project : QPPM Control of John Deere Parts at Kach Motors

The Katch Motors Pvt is an automobile parts manufacturing company located in Pitampura (MP) India. They manufacture a wide range of high precision-fully machined and heat-treated automobiles, engineering parts, and assemblies, high tensile U bolts, carburized/ induction/ through hardened components, steel bright bars, pins, spacers, and alike, for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across the globe.

  John deer is a potential customer of katch motors Pvt ltd they provide transmission parts to them. The Transmission parts manufactured by the company are used in cretical places, the failure of a single part can cause a big issue in Jhoun deer vehicles. 

           Katch motors have found some manufacturing issues in some of the transmission parts lots and they are unable to figure out from which section of a supply chain the issue is rising. To solve this issue they have appointed me as an Automation Quality Control Intern.

      To solve the problem I have researched all the points which can be responsible for defects like control planes, designs, and manufacturing operations performed. Then  To resolve the problem I applied the Six Sigma DMAIC(Define Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) methodology and successfully reduced 80% of production issues. Along with that worked and gathered Knowledge of Gemba Audit, Poka-Yoke, and 7 QC tools.

The things I have learned in during this internship are applied in every domain of Work. This project is not only concerned with basic techniques to achieve good production quality But it is concerned with work ethics and management of projects by applying different concepts to the work we are doing.
