Project: Hard Disk Mechanism Optimization

Hard disk crusher is a device used to destroy the hard disks. Hard disks hold important data which can be recovered and exploited if the disk is not destroyed properly. The motive behind the project is to make it portable so it is easy to carry to Location where we have to crush Disks. The additional portability allows for on-site usage as well as crushing of multiple disks in a shorter period of time. In this project we are optimizing Hard disk crushing/ shredding mechanism which consists of multiple crushing blades and driving shafts. To reduce the weight of mechanism the size and design of blades and spacer is optimized with material.
