Mechatronics Systems Engineer

At Berkshire Grey, my tenure as a Systems Engineer was defined by groundbreaking achievements in the deployment and enhancement of automated systems within national distribution centers. I led the commissioning, programming, and agile-driven implementation of advanced robotic systems, including RSPS (Robotic Shuttle Product Sortation System ), RPSI (Robotic Product Sortation and Identification), and RPW (Robotic Put Wall), integrating autonomous shuttles, sophisticated sensors, conveyors, ABB manipulators, PLCs, system HMIs, and warehouse robotics. This initiative significantly boosted operational efficiency and reliability across various sites.

I developed an extensive training program and a spare parts configuration kit, empowering customer maintenance teams to swiftly address part replacements and minimize downtime, thus reducing reliance on external support. My leadership in orchestrating and testing system components communication ensured the seamless integration and synchronization of SKU flows, promoting operational harmony. In addition, I developed a software solution using Rundeck for remote shuttle motor homing and an autonomous commissioning tracker, enhancing system efficiency and project management.

As a vital member of the Global System Support team, I provided expert technical guidance and developed tools that improved robotic system productivity and client satisfaction. My comprehensive documentation on system warnings and resolutions reduced support escalations and bolstered client autonomy. My efforts in streamlining site layout planning and optimizing material procurement further refined project execution and inventory management.

My role extended beyond strategic contributions to hands-on technical involvement, encompassing the deployment, commissioning, programming, testing, and customer support of various electronic devices and systems. Collaborating closely with clients' administrative, supervisory, and maintenance teams, I addressed on-site challenges and system performance issues, fostering an environment conducive to achieving production goals. My proficiency in utilizing a range of software tools and programming languages, combined with my experience in providing remote support and conducting root cause analysis, illustrates my comprehensive skill set and dedication to advancing automation technology and client satisfaction.
